I hate when I have to take medicine to get my shit together when, given enough time, I know I could do it myself. But I have to leave for choir practice in under 30 minutes, I don't have an extra three hours to collect myself, and skipping rehearsal isn't an option tonight. So Xanax it is.

For me, the ideas of failure and disappointment are deeply tied into both my depression and anxiety. Those and transitions are probably my major triggers. Unfortunately, I find it difficult to remember that, just because someone is - even only for a moment - unhappy or annoyed with me does not mean that I have failed as a person and must do ( Read more... )

You know, I just feel like, when someone says they'll call you "soon" and then assures you that they really do mean soon, and then hasn't called you within a week...that they didn't actually mean soon. Sigh.

Final verdict on LING 300 senior seminar: C-plus. It's what I need to graduate in my major, but I feel like shit that I'm just scraping by.

No word yet on Pidgins & Creoles.

I think I'll have another glass of wine.

I was out with a group of friends Thursday night; Bill got a job offer and my old roommate Laura got into seminary. We went to New Deck, and I was glad, because it's all of two blocks  from where I live. Had an anxiety attack at work today, the first time in a while (since January, maybe?) that I've had one on this level. No obvious trigger, but a lot the problem with mine is that there very rarely is something that I can point to and say, "That! That's what started it!"
